HIP-HOP REACTS TO MAC MILLER’S DEATH

On Friday (Sept. 7), the hip-hop world was shocked to learn about the death of Mac Miller.
According to reports, the 26-year-old Pittsburgh rapper was found dead after an apparent overdose in his San Fernando Valley, Calif. home.
Following news of Miller's untimely death, an immediate outpouring of love came from the hip-hop community, as rappers such as 2 Chainz, Smokepurpp, Russ, J. Cole, Jaden Smith and more paid their condolences and shared stories about the Swimming artist.
Chance The Rapper was at a loss for words as he thanked Mac for taking him on second ever tour and credited him with helping him launch his career. "I dont know what to say Mac Miller took me on my second tour ever," Chano tweeted. "But beyond helping me launch my career he was one of the sweetest guys I ever knew. Great man. I loved him for real. Im completely broken."
The founder and president of Rostrum Records, Benjy Grinberg, voiced his heartbreak on Twitter, writing, "I feel absolutely broken. I love you, Mac."

Director Cole Bennett, who directed the visual for Miller, Carnage and Madeintyo's "Learn How to Watch," also shared some heartfelt words about the rapper and thanked him for changing his life.
"You changed my life forever man.. i’m just happy I got the chance to know you," the director wrote on Instagram. "To thank you & to appreciate you while you were here. we were just talking last night.."

Fellow Pittsburgh native Wiz Khalifa also paid his condolences, tweeting, "Praying for Mac's family and that he rest easy #pgh #412."
